County DMV Unable to Process Driver’s Licenses, Vehicle Registrations due to State Mainframe Outage

County Vehicle Registration and Driver’s License Down as State Mainframe Goes Down

The County of Hawai’i’s Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division is unable to process vehicle registrations and driver’s licenses due to the failure of a State Mainframe system.

The Mainframe went down on Monday, and the State is working to fix it, but there is no estimated timeframe for when services will be restored, the Division said.  The County must rely on the State to resolve the problem, which is affecting DMVs statewide.

The Vehicle Registration and Licensing Division apologizes for the inconvenience this outage poses, and appreciates the public’s understanding in the meantime.
